OK..true story!!
My wife, at best, tolerates my poster hobby. It could be because she
has precious few wall spaces she can decorate that don't have posters
up. She is a collector of nothing, nada.
So to redeem myself, I had to make a run to the Salvation Army thrift
store a few years ago with bags of our outgrown clothes from the kids,
who were at that age where they went through clothes faster than water
since they grew like weeds. After feeling like a mule hauling bag after
bag to the donation box, I go in dutifully to get my receipt signed.
While waiting, I spy a box just in eyesight saying ..$2.00 each...and I
see rolled posters coming out. So I fish through this box of rolled and
folded posters, and I almost pee my pants. I walk away with 18 posters
for $36....among them
Folded "On Golden Pond" pre-academy awards
Advanced "Raging Bull"
Rolled Chinatown and last but not least..
A rolled Dayglo Fantasia poster.....$2 for each!!!
