Rich,
The AX100 can accommodate sleeves 44" long. The cabinet is 50" tall so even
with hangers the posters should fit.
SAGGING would definitely be a major problem! Thank you to whoever brought
this up.

I'm with Kirby on this.
Those cabinets don't really look al that usefull to me. I think that flat
files, which you can find under $600 for one sheets here in vegas, and
which store more posters AND KEEP THEM FLAT WITH NO STRESS ON THE PAPER
are a better solution
the hanging file that is shown Phillip would also need special hanging
bags and let's say the cabinet is 44 inches at the high dimension, once
you subtract the part of the hanger that needs to hook so it can hang, I'm
sure you have reduced the available space by at least 2 inches, maybe 3
and that would negate it's usability. Don't forget that while the posters
are hanging is=n such a fashion, the paper would be stressed and this
could lead to tearing and unintentional slippage creasing. What would it
do to the bottom corners in particular?? Also, if the posters are
linenbacked, then you cannot even put them in to the hanging file
flat files for me... I need to find some used ones

I guess I will add my 2 cents here: to me, this cabinet looks like a
better idea in
theory than in practice. I haven't read through all this thread, but I
don't think you can
get even 1500 posters in here comfortably. Certainly not if they are
linen backed.
I've investigated a lot of storage over the years, and I don't think I've
found anything better than
flat files. I have one vertical locking file that holds a few special
posters, and I would not want to crowd
it.

Zeev,
The stand alone cabinet system.

I am talking about the AX 100. It does not look too large at all. The one
sheet fit as well. 33X44, thats the size of posters you can file in
there. You can also finally hang those linen mounted posters in this
cabinet as well. Am I missing something? This system does cost $1560 but
I also checked flat cabinets and they are also around $1400 to 1600. The
huge difference is that is like a large lobby card cabinet system. You
can view them easily and they hang, so no damage. These cabinets were
built for art work. Look at how large the system is. How many one sheets
do you think you put in there in plastic sleeves both sides? Thats the
big question, how many can we hang? It is advertised that it fits 1250
sheets, double that amount on the back you have 2500 sheets.
What you think buddy?

Hello Philipp
Thanks for the link. I checked it out briefly and I'm not sure which is
the specific item that caught your eye. Could you please point me in the
right direction?
There are just 2 points I'd like to make though:
In order to be able to store AND VIEW 1250x2 One Sheets it has to be a
HUGH system, no matter what it is. At least that's what it seems to me.
And if its attached to a wall, like in a few of their models, it has to
be *some wall*. You know yourself what 2500 posters would weigh.
Regards, Zeev

This does appear to be the best storage and viewing system I have ever
seen before. It is really amazing. See the link below. You can store two
times 1250 one sheet posters. Does anyone else seen this system in
action? It does appear much better than the flat filing system because
easily view any of your one sheets immediately. It does appear the best
system.
