walter,
dont click on any link on an email you receive. type in the ebay URL
directly into your browser window and go to ebay that way. report any
funny email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or paypal-- [EMAIL PROTECTED]), without
clicking on ANY links in the suspicious email you receive. after
forwarding it, just dump it into the trash.

I click on www.ebay.com
but I keep getting prompts asking for both my credit card
information and also my social security number not from ebay but
from some entirely different email address.
This is scary, something is definitely wrong here.
