I agree that too many movies today are pushing the envelope to extreme levels
and we as consumers are not being given advance warning as to how out there
some of the movies are. In the case of Hostel, you know what you're getting,
but in the case of Superbad the advertising does not hint as to how extereme it
gets. Too bad, as the film is funny, but young kids have no business seeing
and hearing some of what they put out. Worse yet, I see way too many kids at
R-rated films that irresponsible parents bring along.

I know many are afraid to say anything to avoid being labeled as a prude or
some sort of censorship supporter. I was very disappointed when I took my
young nephew to see Transformers, only to have a drawn out joke about
masterbation inserted in the middle. It was out of left field and totally
unnecessary, considering how many sub-10 year olds went to see this movie based
on a toy. Michael Bay should have been more responsible, but then again it is
Michael Bay.
