That trust creates a higher demand in prices it does not matter is they spend
3x more. They know they can return it it is accurately described it is not a
bootleg.
People do not like risking the money they earn so if it cost them 20
instead of 7 to them. They feel so be it it is due to the fact they do not
need to be an expert when buying for Bruce or Dave when you create that
level of trust it pays off. When Bruce and dave started they did not
get such high price it was only after people knew they would not lose
any money did you drr the priceses. And even then both
sellers do infact get very little on some posters buyers are just picky.

Just like the bidder who spent almost $300 on an 8x10 b&w photo in one of
Bruce's auctions. I bought a lobby card from the same film (which I must
prefer over 8x10 stills) for $85.

Seriously now: I believe that Bruce H. is one of the best on eBay. There
are about half a dozen or so that I believe are in his category, but the rest I
either don't trust or their beginning prices are just too high for a beginning
price. I understand that a lot of people are used to Bruce and like his
honorable way of doing business, I know Bruce has a huge mailing list and club
membership, etc. etc. ad infinitum.

BUT WHY IN THE WORLD ARE PEOPLE PAYING SUCH RIDICULOUSLY HIGH PRICES FOR AN
ITEM WHEN THEY CAN GET THE SAME OR SIMILAR ITEM ELSEWHERE (EVEN ON EBAY) FOR
MUCH LESS? I don't get it. Is there an explanation?

If you were one of the 14 people who bid less than $625 on a recently sold
North By Northwest lobby card, you might want to take a look at this one now
(one without any pinholes). J
