Hey all
What, exactly, is the proper definition of the 'B' movie? I know
that it was an actual type of movie made by studios that featured
'lesser' stars and budgets but it's also been co-opted by later cult
movie fans for anything that seems 'bad' and unintentionally funny or
campy. Are either of these wrong and how is this gallery defining
'B' movies? Just wondering as I think I have a few posters
representative of the latter style of B that I mention.

As mentioned, the City of Brea Art Gallery is producing an exhibition
entitled "B Movie Madness" in which we will highlight the impact of
the B Movie, in its various genres, on contemporary society.
We are looking for posters, props, costumes, etc. from "B" list
films. Should any of your clients have items they may be willing to
loan, I would very much appreciate if you are able to pass this
request along to them.
"B Movie Madness" will be on view at the City of Brea Art Gallery
from 22 March through 2 May 2008.
The City of Brea Art Gallery is a non profit, non collecting museum
located at the Brea Civic and Cultural Centre in north east Orange
County, California. The Gallery has been presenting a variety of art
exhibitions since 1980. The City of Brea Art Gallery is a community
service of the City of Brea, a General Law City incorporated under
the California Municipal Code in 1917.
