I think Ebay is doing what it can to make it a friendlier buying market.
Personally I love it!
For years buyers have been put at the mercy of sellers who made you feel like
you had to kiss their ass if you wanted there item... delivered safely... and
at your door in a reasonable time. Then there those you have to beg for them
to take time for some kind of feedback. Then there are those who rap your item
like a piece of garbage... hopefully you get it safely, and then you had to
give them wonderful feedback or none , so you could keep a decent rating.
Most clients I talk to are afraid of buying on Ebay, because of the horror
story's that the media prints and others tell. If the buyers aren't there then
there is no market.
I've seen many of the crooked dealers get boot off and some leave on there own
because of changes over the years, unfortunately some of the good ones.
Many of the changes that ebay has made are the changes that this list has
wished for, now some of the same people are griping that it is
done....please...just move on!
This is a partial list a what use to be...remember;
dealers making contact to buy there stuff instead of the listing.
people making contact after the listing to buy an item you didn't win.
asking sellers to close an auctions for a private sell (still happens, but not
as often).
making private contact with the seller/buyer at the end of the auction to set
up final transaction.
having to stay up all hours to bid (thanks for sniping).
fake second chance offers.
fake listings or copy listings.
stealing images.
harassment for others, by others when they were outbid.
name calling
shorter watch list.
site shut downs.
slow bids going thru.
no Paypal (remember MO lines and wondering if they would be received) or
(giving you credit card to a stranger).
I sure the MOPO list can come up with others....
Ebay has never been perfect, but I won't knock them for trying to improve!
