Always my personal favorite. I feel that Cool Hand Luke, Hud, and The
Hustler were equally his best performances, and he had many other excellent
performances as well (Butch Cassidy, The Sting, and on and on), with very
few lesser ones.One of those rare great people whose offscreen persona truly
matched their onscreen one, and who had no feet of clay or skeletons in the
closet.
