An example of same card number on different scenes is FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE, clearly indicating at least two separate print runs within the same first release.

This happens with super popular movies like Jaws, where they make a second trip through theaters in the same year. This is really rare, as very few movies had same year re-releases. It also sometimes means "revised", where they decided to change the ad campaign after the film first opened, and they printed new cards (sometimes this happened when the credits were not as contracted). This is quite common, and I have seen a good 100 different examples. There are also many cases where there are different numbers on the different scenes, and sometimes were there are one or more different images. An example of the former is the John Wayne movie Circus World, and an example of the latter is Taxi Driver. Firstly there are two #4 cards. Looking at them closely, one of them has R56-328 in the bottom rh corner obviously indicating a reissue although the film was actually released in 1956. The other cards are all carry the original 56-528 mark in the lower rh corner indicating their original release. I am wondering if a mistake was made with the original release lobby card set and that possibly two different #4 cards were printed. I am guessing that they only "reissued" one or two of the cards that had numbering errors. I have had a look at the Heritage archives to see if their sales could shed any light on this but I would appreciate it if anyone on this list actually knows what happened with these cards.
