It will be interesting to see the results of these changes. Not sure that sales
will necessarily increase because the main search will now be flooded with
store items. Ultimately, I think many sellers will upgrade their store
subscriptions and increase prices to cover the fees.

  Hi Dave.

many people will opt to go from their basic store to a premium store to keep
the listings at 3 or 5 cents.

this will cost an additional $34.00 per month in the upfront store
fee.......but I believe the savings overall should offset this with increased
sales because the listings will be in the main search results.

bottom line....whether you are for or against it.............there is nothing
anyone can do about it!!!

  best,

    Dave,

If I have a basic store right now, and I have 1000 items that I pay 3 cents
a month, and I want to keep a basic store and my items go to 20 cents a month,
please tell me how my fees are going down? You are assuming I want to switch to
a premium or anchor store. But if I don't and want to keep my basic store, my
costs have now gone up over 600%.

By switching to a premium or anchor store, I am NOT saving anything -
because I am already paying 3 or 5 cents. That just allows me to stay at my
same fee - but increasing the store charge from $15.95 to either $49.95 or
$299.95 a month.

Perhaps I will be saving money based on the NEW charges, but I don't see
how my fees are going down compared to what I am paying today.
Read the Ebay spin how you want but the bottom line is most of us will be
paying more to conduct business on Ebay compared to what we pay today, not
less. Quite a bit more actually.

as usual......some mopo people are reading things wrong.

for those who have an ebay store the fees will probably go down.

for fixed price and store items......if you have thousands of items and you
do a premium or anchor store you will save a bundle as the fee is 3 or 5 cents
per listing.....not 20 cents.

AND.....the store listings will be automatically turned into fixed price
listings and be included in ebays main search results.......which is a great
change!!!
