Exactly, Phil. Its interesting to see "what could possibly have been." Its the same kind of thing when seeing screen tests from some of the classic films, for the actors and actresses that ultimately were not cast or turned the role down. Some of the screen tests from GONE WITH THE WIND are amazing to see, and who was strongly considered for the various roles, before they were settled on.

These poster creations are simply doing something of a similar nature-- to show what might have been.

Why is this disturbing? The article simply ponders the idea about how these films would have appeared (and fared), had the actors who were originally considered for the roles, been cast in the part.

This happens all the time.

It makes for an interesting set of "alt versions" for some of the one sheets, that's for sure.
