I am very sorry to hear of his passing. I was a big fan of Charles' work, and over many years I donated hundreds of my books to him to use for his displays and magnets. I always bought some magnets from him in Columbus, and my fridge is covered with his works.
I remember years ago when he told me his bad news, and each year I was thrilled to see him back. This last year he told me that he had taken a turn for the worse and that I would not see him again. He was a sweet man who added a lot of joy to the world and he will be missed by many people.
