Helmet's point taken, quite right, no need for further inane banter.

Would you mind to stop the politics, please? There are a million
other places out there where people will happily discuss this matter
with you.

Yes, children & innocents will continue to die. But not by the
hands of Osama bin Laden. That is reason to celebrate. Was the
World better off without Hitler? Is the World better off without
Osama? I dont think you need to be an American to understand the
prespective.

When Hitler died the Third Reich was on it's last legs, and his
death could justifiably be viewed as sign that the conflict was
nearing the end.
Can't see that here. One of the serpent's heads gone, how many left?
And considering martyrdom is part of the ideology, it's difficult in
this case to see his receiving the maximum penalty ten years on as
particularly effective justice.
Seems almost irrelevant, and on a par with celebrating the death of
a suicide bomber.
9/11 was abhorrent, certainly not sorry he's dead, but the party
seem delusional.
Babies, children, women and innocent men will continue to be killed,
and in the scheme of things it's a very small piece of world wide
justice.

Ari, I think most people would agree, we dont really celebrate a
death. Yet, in this case Osama Bin Laden was a monster, an evil
person. He killed babies, children, women, and innocent men. And
he bragged about it. You have to agree, even if you dont understand
the US perspective, that the World is a better place today without
someone who had no qualms about killing. On May 1st 1945 the world
woke to the news that Adolf Hitler was dead. Now, on May 1st 2011,
it awakes to similar good news. Fortunately, Osama didnt do the
same damage that Hitler did. But, they both were beasts.

Different strokes. I don't agree with killing and celebrating any
death to me is strange. Thats all.

Replies to OT are somewhat ambiguous by nature, however ...
Ari ... I'm sure you are a fine fellow in many ways, but you may
want to count to 10 (or 1,000), before being flippant ... as 9/11
has gripped many in the US directly and indirectly

At last Osama Bin Laden has been brought to justice.
American forces have dealt a blow to the forces of evil that are
responsible for the war on terror.
Unfortunately Bin Laden will be seen as a martyr in the eyes of some
and there will undoubtedly be reprisals from those who followed Bin
Laden.
However the head of the serpent has been severed, now it remains
that the rest of the serpent be destroyed, this may take time it has
taken nearly ten years to find the serpents head and destroy it.
This is not the end of the war on terror, there are too many
conflicts in the middle east ongoing that will not stop overnight.
But this is a major victory in the war on Terror and to use the
words of Churchill about the defeat of Rommel's forces in North
Africa "Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the
end. but it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning." Hopefully the
strike against Al Qaidya last night is more like the beginning of
the end and soon we can see our boys return home. Perhaps the light
at the end of the tunnel can be seen.
From one Brit to those who performed what became an almost
impossible task, that of tracking down the worlds most wanted man, I
congratulate you and wish I could buy you a beer because you surely
deserve it.
