Yeah, our kid is now 8... it seemed like it took forever to get him to appreciate the theatrical experience. I remember the first movie he sat through in its entirety was Wallace & Gromit and it almost brought a tear to my eye to see him finally groove on it... now, just about, all we go see are 3D movies and he really digs 'em.

Some of my finest memories with my youngest daughter was our trips to the theatre to see movies. As she grew older I became more the driver to get her and her friends to see a movie or the bodyguard when she went with a boyfriend. Now I have a one year old granddaughter who I am watching grow way too fast and am anxiously waiting for her to be old enough to join me at the theatre. Enjoy those times while you can. He sat quietly throughout the whole movie while munching on popcorn and zipping his drink. It's funny how he reacted to the surround sound by actually looking at the direction the sound/voice came from. He was also admiring the lobby standees, so we are crossing our fingers he will eventually catch the poster collecting fever.
