I would certainly hope everyone is savvy enough to know not to open a strange
link in an e-mail that has a message totally unrelated to MoPo: "Single Mom
Makes $89,844/Yr in Her Spare Time on The Computer Without Selling Anything."

I receive these all the time, across multiple e-mail accounts, and simply
delete them. I also always run good virus and malware protection software (as
EVERYONE should).

Not being a computer genius, I don't know how these particular spam messages
get sent. I don't know if the user's e-mail has somehow been "stolen" or if it
is being spoofed, or if the spam is actually coming from that person's
computer.

In the meantime, I can remove the offending e-mail account from MoPo to be on
the safe side.

But I fear this is going to become worse as time goes on. EVERYONE needs to be
sure to protect themselves on their end--and certainly be diligent in not
opening suspicious links.
