I'm confused, Rich.
Did we misdescribe as you post a link to Heritage?
The description didn't say anything about who executed the design and work.
Frankly, wasn't even aware Brown did artwork on that campaign!

quite frequently movie poster artists are completely misidentified on movie
posters
some of the most common examples are of course Saul Bass and Reynold Brown

sometimes it isn't a completely incorrect identification, but it can be
misleading

one such poster is World Without End

http://movieposters.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=7083&lotNo=83887

a copy was just sold on one site identified as Reynold Brown art. The only
thing is, while Brown did do some art that appears on this poster, which is the
inset image at top, the main body of the art is by Albert Kallis. So while
saying there is Reynold Brown art on the poster, by not differentiating the
reality of two artists, it puts forth an idea that Brown did the whole poster,
and this is just not so.

Generally speaking, for most of the 1950s horror-sf posters where there are
multiple designs utilizing different art, the art is by more than one artist.

A grea example of this is Creature From the Black Lagoon. Brown's art is used
on the 3sheet and the half sheet, it is not his work on the 1sh (I believe that
may be Kallis also)

I understand another fact, that most dealers are not art experts and that
because I have spent 30 years selling comic art & illustration as well as
studying art for decades, I have a leg up.. But it helps the hobby when the
information is complete.
