I work with 3D (CT) data from small rodent skulls mainly from museums and even the best of them lack frequently processes. For those with structures only missing on one side I would like to use the symmetric component of left and right sides with averages where both landmarks are present plus the position of the landmarks with missing counterpart (as can be done for 2D data with BigFix6 from the IMP series). I've tried using "-999"/"-9999" for missing values, but this seems not to be recognized as missing but as a proper coordinate, producing some strange results. Any help would be appreciated!
