All,
I have some
questions about using PC1 as an overall measure
for body size in allometric studies.
I know PCA
analysis as well as allometric calculations, but I
have problem in understanding PC1 applcation in allometric analysis. I hope you
have time to answer my questions.
1-
We need PC1 scores. Where can
I find them in spss results? Is it component matrix or rotated component
matrix?
2-
If I want to perform a regression
between PC1 scores and a variable (e.g. femur length) for (for example) 20
individuals, I think number of PC1 scores may be less than number of individuals
(e.g. 20 femur size) . Does it make a problem in regression?
