In response to a problem found by
Carlos Alexandre, I have largely re-written the “convert tps/nts” option on
the tpsUtil program. It will now actually convert a tps file to nts, csv, and m
file types. It will also convert nts files to tps, csv, m and nts formats (for
the latter it can reformat the nts file so that each specimen is stored as a
separate matrix and also with each landmark’s coordinates on separate lines.
This should provide some additional flexibility in modifying the files for use
with other software. The help file has also been updated to document these
changes. The software has just been uploaded to the Stony Brook
Morphometrics web site. Please let me know
if problems are found with this software or if new features would be useful (I
have a couple of others on my “to do” list that I hope to add latter this
summer). ---------------------- F.
