Subject: common morphometrics format
To: [email protected]

Dear all,

Given the fact that there is no one-size-fits all  morphometrics package and the need to move datasets back and forth in different suites to do different analysis, and the volume of requests in the mail server about such conversions,  I am wondering whether it might be useful to have a discussion on a common landmark data exchange format. I understand each program does things slightly differently and have different requirements, but perhaps an extendable format (with a minimum set of standards followed by program specific fields, much like NEXUS) can be implemented.

Any opinions?
