I am going to go out on a limb here, but I think the Twilight series might
be a good direction to go. The content is highly appealing, the reading is
appealing but they are EASY to read. Yes, for students like this they might
present a challenge but they are the hottest books with kids in middle
school. Imagine the potential delight when kids realize that I am reading
what is hot and popular, I like it and I CAN READ IT.
