Hi... some ideas are: How to teach strategies to reluctant readers...talk about different book lists to read with their kiddies, for state testing grades you could go over test taking strategies and do a mock test with the parents so they see what the testing can be like. Your school could have a literacy night where everyone comes and listens to stories by teachers and or community helpers...you could possibly have the nearest public library rep come to school and offer some workshops that the library may be holding. Just some ideas....karen
