Those of us who are reading specialists can see the logic of these strategies. If you can get training from a national CRISS trainer, it may pay off. CRISS encourages teachers to then become trainers and it is especially beneficial in larger districts. As Reading Specialists, teachers with a reading background, your suggestions are very important. What are some comprehension strategies that you think will work well in the content areas described above? and why?
