I love the 2 sisters Daily 5 structure. Last year was my first year in 3rd grade and I implimented the Daily 5. Over the summer I read the CAFE book and this year have added the CAFE components to the Daily 5. You HAVE to use the CAFE strategies to have the accountability. This is where students set goals, choose strategies that they need to work on and that you help them with through individual conferencing and small strategy groups. I teach whole class lessons using their "Ready Reference" forms and picture books. I think it all works very well in 3-5 grades!

Do you see the benefit for grades 3-5? Also, any resources that you have for the upper grades would be helpful. I have heard from some teachers they feel there is no accountability for the students as they move from each station. Any thoughts?
