Hi Everyone,

I have been running on an old "Kodicom 8800" type clone card (the one
with 8 bt878 chips) for years now. And it's time to upgrade, probably
one last time until everything goes digital.

The problem is that these old cards are PCI... and most modern boards
seem to be dropping PCI.

Is there a more modern equivalent to this card? I see several multi port
PCIE cards on ebay etc.. but I have no idea on if they work in motion or
even linux in general. Anyone have luck using a more modern multiport
capture gear?

If not.. the next step would be to go with a external network video
encoder, most are not cheap.

Thanks!

Regards,
-Moses

Thank you.. an old thread but the #include below did help me out! I had
other problems with Centos7 and motion, I'll wait till there is more
experience and docs before upgrading for good.

Thanks again.
