Hi :)
today I compiled motion Version Unofficial-Git-a5b5f13, and tried to set it up
to work with two webcams.
First one is an Axis 2110, second one is an Digitus DN-16032.
The Axis 2110 runs fine, but the Digitus one gives problems ...
Here's a snip from the logfile:

and so on.
I can, for example, connect to
http://IP_ADDR_2/snapshot.jpg?account=USER_NAME&password=PASS_WORD with
firefox, and get a picture.
My thread2.conf:
netcam_url http://IP_ADDR_2/snapshot.jpg?account=USER_NAME&password=PASS_WORD
netcam_keepalive on
stream_port 8082
stream_motion off
stream_localhost off
stream_limit 0
stream_auth_method 0
#
netcam_tolerant_check on
rtsp_uses_tcp on
#
output_pictures off
#
I'd just like to be able to watch the images/streams from those two cams via
one system ...
Anybody with any ideas? ;)
Thanks a lot!
cu

Are you sure the camera gives you MJPEG at that URL?
http://IP_ADDR_2/snapshot.jpg
More looks like it should give you a single JPEG, not a stream
When you open that URL in Firefox - do you see video or just one image?

It provides only one images, which could be refreshed ...
I thought it doesn't matter what the source is ...
motion-dist.conf says:
# URL to use if you are using a network camera, size will be autodetected (incl
http:// ftp:// mjpg:// rtsp:// mjpeg:// or file:///)
# Must be a URL that returns single jpeg pictures or a raw mjpeg stream.
Default: Not defined

Are you sure the camera gives you MJPEG at that URL?
http://IP_ADDR_2/snapshot.jpgMore looks like it should give you a single JPEG,
not a streamWhen you open that URL in Firefox - do you see video or just one
image?

and so on.
I can, for example, connect to
http://IP_ADDR_2/snapshot.jpg?account=USER_NAME&password=PASS_WORD[http://IP_ADDR_2/snapshot.jpg?account=USER_NAME&password=PASS_WORD]
with firefox, and get a picture.
My thread2.conf:
netcam_url?
http://IP_ADDR_2/snapshot.jpg?account=USER_NAME&password=PASS_WORD[http://IP_ADDR_2/snapshot.jpg?account=USER_NAME&password=PASS_WORD]
netcam_keepalive on
stream_port 8082
stream_motion off
stream_localhost off
stream_limit 0
stream_auth_method 0
#
netcam_tolerant_check on
rtsp_uses_tcp on
#
output_pictures off
#
I'd just like to be able to watch the images/streams from those two cams via
one system ...
Anybody with any ideas? ;)
Thanks a lot!
cu
