Hello,
Loving the software here....but....

I must be missing something simple. My camera is recording a lot .jpg files
to my home directory (continuous in fact). If I put my finger over the lens
it will quit. I'm a little puzzled as I have went through the renamed
motion.conf file and am calling this from the cli. The result I am getting
happens even though I have not modified the file. Also when I put a
redirect in the section that asks where I want the pics/movies to end up
and this is not the place they are going. They are going to my /home.

I am using a PS2 usb cam on a Lenovo x-61 laptop running Linux Mint 17. The
laptop has no webcam of it's own.

WebCam info:
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 1415:2000 Nam Tai E&E Products Ltd. or OmniVision
Technologies, Inc. Sony Playstation Eye

Thanks in advance for any tips or help
