Motion doesn't have a UI. What exactly are you trying to run?

Thank you for answering.
What I am trying to do is to steam to from webcam to a web browser, which is
working perfectly on my host machine, but when I do the same steps in my Ubuntu
VMware it doesn?t not work I am not able to stream it in the web browser and I
was wondering where the problem is coming from (if it might be the fact that
it?s because I?m streaming in a virtual environment)?Thanks again?

To be completely honest, it's all written at a level that seems to assume some
pretty significant linux and coding knowledge.? I did figure out that setup is
done by editing the config file, but after messing with it for hours, all I got
it to do it turn on the led next to my webcam.? I can't even get the UI to run.
Motion doesn't have a UI.? What exactly are you trying to run?
