I have the basic understanding on how it detects the motion, but what I need is
a bit more in-depth. Could anyone show me the underlying processing that is
happening when motion_on is on and where to find it, would be greatly
appreciated.

I was also wondering if there was a way just to see the raw feed from the
camera, just being able to see the pixels move rather than the image itself.
For example, having a background of one colour and when the pixels change you
can see it in real enough time.

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

You can run motion is "setup" mode and then you will see only changed
pixels in the web stream
