The playback of motion file was corrupted.
Have found the problem to be the installed version of VLC.Copied the file to
another machine and using VLC as well asMplayer both played correctly.I deleted
the Raspbian? install of VLC rebooted and reinstalledVLC. The playback showed
in corrupted state.Mplayer played correctly.
After closer examination did not understand the following:[1:ml1] [NTC] [VID]
v4l2_norm_select: Device does not support specifying PAL/NTSC norm[1:ml1] [NTC]
[VID] v4l2_pixfmt_select: Configuration palette index 17 (YU12) for 640x480
doesn't work.

I did look but couldn?t work out what was wrong as if you follow the logs
down they suggest another codec(?) is found that is suitable. Perhaps the
version of the codec used was the problem?
