Out birding with Diane Harris of Florida.

Highlights

-Gyrfalcon: Adult grey morph on top of the 3rd. grain elevator to the =
west of the High Bridge in Superior, WI.  Watched it make a dive on =
pigeon and nabbed it in the air over our heads!=20
-Great Gray Owls: 2.2 miles & 4.2 miles west of the east gate on the =
Hedbom Logging Trail.
-Snowy Owl: Along Garfield Ave. near the cement plant. The owl is now =
marked with black dye and has a green tag on it.
-Northern Hawk Owl: .5 miles north of the Martin Rd on Hwy 4.=20
-Black-backed Woodpecker (Male) 2.6 miles west of the east gates on the =
south side of the Hedbom Logging Trail.
-Am. three-toed Woodpecker (male) 2.7 miles west of the east gate on the =
south side of the Hedbom Logging Trail.
Saw 2 others (male & female) 1 mile north of Co. Rd 133 on the Blue =
Spruce Rd in Sax Zim Bog.
-Red & White-winged Crossbills feeding on Tamarack cones one mile north =
of Co. Rd. 133 on the Blue Spruce Rd in Sax Zim Bog.
- Grey-crowned Rosy Finches (3) at the feeder in Cloquet, MN  time was =
11:00pm.
-White-winged Scoter in the canal mixed in with the hundreds of Common =
Goldeneyes at Canal Park.

-Pine Grosbeaks
-Gray Jays
-Northern Shrike
-Common Redpoll
-Rough-legged Hawk (Sax Zim Bog & Rice Lake Rd.)

* Will be heading to northern Lake Co. on Monday. I will be looking for =
Spruce Grouse and also checking the feeders Isabella.
