This morning, at home in Carver, I saw a chipping sparrow, the first that I 
actually recognized, and away in the distance a lone cormorant flying 
northward.  I've also been seeing a lot of swallows over the past few days but 
with them flying about so quickly and the sun behind them it's hard to spot 
markings and coloring.  I'm seeing two or perhaps three kinds.

I'll have to go out to the MN River Valley St. Lawrence unit and see if the 
cormorants are out there still.
