I was not able to find the Henslow's Sparrow at Carver Park this morning. I
did find both a Black-billed Cuckoo and American Woodcock along the Tamarack
bog boardwalk. Also interesting at the park was a Great Horned Owl.

There wasn't much shorebird activity at all at the Chevalle neighborhood
wetlands. New among the Egrets and Great Blue Heron were 2 Black-crowned
Night-Heron. For anybody interested in checking out the wetlands from time to
time, they are located along Grand Chevalle Pkwy in northwest Chaska. Take
Bavaria Rd either south from Hwy. 5 or north from Pioneer Trail to get the
neighborhood. It is not very far along in development, so at the moment there
aren't many houses in the area.

At Spring Peeper Meadow in Chanhassen, I startled a Virginia Rail.
