There was a Connecticut warbler in the wet woodland area just east of the parking lot at Buffalo River State Park. It was calling at about 11:30 this morning.
I quick checked out Felton Prairie in the early afternoon and found the usual grassland species there including a loggerhead shrike near the eastern end of highway 108. I met a birding couple from Massachusetts at Felton who said that they saw two whooping cranes at Tamarac NWR yesterday.
