The two WW Scoters reported earlier were still present in the SE
section of L. Vadnais in mid-afternoon, among a large flock of
predominantly Ring-necked Ducks. They were reasonably close, as viewed
from the parking area on the south side of Vadnais Blvd., so it was
possible to pick out the distinctive bill and white patches rather
easily. Both birds did some diving, and succeeded in catching fish.
