Today I spotted a Canada Goose with a yellow collar with black markings reading JE38 and a radio transmitter on its back. The goose was walking along Mississippi River Blvd in St. Paul, right in front of Sunny Hollow Montessori School.

I reported the observation but read that it'll be several weeks before I possibly get a response with details about the bird or researcher. Does anyone have any guesses as to which research group might have banded and attached the transmitter? My 4 year old daughter and I are very curious and would love to learn more. If anyone is interested in seeing a photo, let me know. I took a picture of it.

Thanks,
Jennifer
