Yellow-billed Cuckoo & Brewster's Warbler, Kunkel WMA, Mille Lacs County.
Among 166 species last week in Aitkin, Mille Lacs, Sherburne & bit of Crow Wing: * 24 warblers, only missing Blackpoll & Canada, no waves, however * 13 shorebirds, only 22 on spring, quiet but much better last few days * Cerulean at Kathio only real surprise, but confirms last year's heard bird * Lack of Yellow Rails & Nelsons in Mc Gregor Marsh mildly concerning, but was windy & cold, and only single morning of observation * MOU field trips are very worthwhile, opportunity to meet interesting people * Year numbers very normal.
