This afternoon I found an Eastern Towhee staying with a pair of Cardinals. The birds were seen at 2:45 pm south of 655th St. along Mower County Road 5. They flew across the road twice while I watched and at all times the Towhee followed the cardinals. The farmstead did have a feeder out so I suspect the birds will stay in the area. I made my observations from the road.
