This morning I played a Common Gallinule recording at the public access off CR
4 on the north side of Swan Lake. Immediately, a gallinule responded from the
nearby cattails. It called several more times over the next 20 minutes. At
one point, another bird called further out in the marsh. I got only one very
brief look at the bird on the right side of the narrow channel that goes out
through the marsh from the access during the 30 minutes I was there. At least
3 Virginia Rails were also present.

Earlier, I came across a Grey Partridge crossing CR 4 .1 mile south of CR 15.
