It has been great early March birding this past week in Carver County. Each
day this past week has yielded a first of year species for me. That's not
particularly difficult, since I spend so little time out during the winter
months and Carver County is not exactly a hotbed for birds during the cold
season. Today(March 13) was the most productive day with 8 new arrivals.
Below are select highlights and counts for the week all at Rapids Lake MVNWR.
