Subject: Bobwhites Chippewa County

Sorry, I was on vacation last week and off grid, so I didn't have an
opportunity to report this until today. I received a reliable email report of
two simultaneously singing male bobwhites in Sec 6 Tungsburg Twp in Chippewa
County on Sunday August 16. One of them was eventually seen in flight and on
the ground; the other was only heard. The exact location was near the Zion
Lutheran Church on 20th St NW - about ½ mile west off Hwy 7 (this is about half
way between Milan and Watson).

Although there are no game farms or hunting preserves in the immediate area, I
would suspect these are released birds or escapees.
