(Yes, that’s a term, like “a murder of crows”.) Question: How many Great Horned Owls do you ever see in one place? I ask because I got a second-hand report of people seeing lots of them recently, in Woodbury. Neighbors saying “there’s an owl… there’s an owl… there’s another owl…” And hawks, too! As a kid, I knew a place in New York City where a dozen or so Long-eared Owls spent the winter (no longer, sadly), but those are highly migratory. Any observations or thoughts?
