If the naming of the directories cause you problems, then you should perhaps
better contact the author/maintainer of your portfiles?

For compiling Mozart on an Intel Mac from source, there is a detailed
description at the wiki page FAQ of Mozart's development site,
http://gforge.info.ucl.ac.be/plugins/wiki/index.php?FAQ&id=17&type=g (it
appears that it is sometimes hard to reach the wiki these days, just retry).

BTW: has anybody an idea why wiki pages take so long to load?

Best,
Torsten

Subject: troubleshooting installation on MacBook Pro (Intel) via MacPort

Dear Mozart-Oz list,

I've just installed Mozart-Oz on an Intel based
MacBook Pro, using MacPort (formerly called: darwinport).

Unfortunately, my Oz didn't run very far. Its last utterances were:
===================
/usr/local/oz/bin/ozengine: line 105:
/usr/local/oz/platform/i486-darwin/emulator.exe: No such file or directory
/usr/local/oz/bin/ozengine: line 105: exec:
/usr/local/oz/platform/i486-darwin/emulator.exe: cannot execute: No such
file or directory

Process Oz Emulator exited abnormally with code 126
====================

Where it mentions the i486-darwin directory, on my machine
there's "powermac-darwin".

As a minor point, an extract of MacPort's working output during
the installation:
=====

Any suggestion for an elegant solution is highly welcome!
:-)
