Programming textbook and software in French

There is now a French translation of part of CTM
("Concepts, Techniques, and Models of Computer
Programming"), published by Dunod Éditeur and
targeted toward a second-year programming course.
See the site:
  ctm.info.ucl.ac.be/fr
To accompany this new book, there is a software
package called the "Labo interactif" (interactive
laboratory) that contains hundreds of programming
examples, organized to follow closely the book.
All the examples can be executed and modified
at will. The "Labo interactif" leverages the Mozart
system to help the student learn practical programming.
The motivation of the "Labo" is to make learning
programming more like any other discipline, where
students learn by studying examples from past
masters. The "Labo" is available from the e-publisher
ScienceActive at:
  www.scienceactive.com
The book's translation was done by myself, adapted
and updated from the original CTM manuscript. Yves
Jaradin and myself wrote the content for the "Labo
interactif". We are using both the book and the
software in the UCL second-year programming course,
which started last week with around 270 students.
