However, if you are running Debian i386 then I think the binary
tarball might work for you. I tried it and it ran my test prograrm (
{Browse hello} :) ) . Just download and unpack the generic i386
tarball from here:
http://www.mozart-oz.org/download/view.cgi?action=tar&version=1.4.0
Then you can run it in place: <unpack dir>/mozart/bin/oz
Otherwise, as I said before, just build it from source. If you give a prefix:
configure --prefix=$HOME/moz142/
make bootstrap
make install
(from memory)
Then everything is installed under $HOME/moz142/ so it is easy to remove it.
