I think this is not possible.  you could highlight the message text,
right-click, choose copy.  Then paste into your application.  Or do File
 - Save As - File - then save type as Text file.  Then open or paste
into your application.

I'm afraid you're right :-(
I decoded the global memory that the dropsource is pointing at,
and couldn't detect anything more than the title of the mail.
So I guess, after the title comes an internal pointer to point the mail 
in the file.
