I think this is not possible. you could highlight the message text, right-click, choose copy. Then paste into your application. Or do File - Save As - File - then save type as Text file. Then open or paste into your application.
A slight variation:
1. Click to put focus in the message body pane;
2. Ctrl-A to select all;
3. Click and drag text to another application, e.g. a text editor.
If you want the message with all headers you can do the same thing but from the View Source window: Ctrl-U, Ctrl-A, click & drag.
Using Win XP Home, Mozilla 1.6 Release, neither of those procedures works here with Notepad - only works with Wordpad or Word that I've been able to test.
Notepad doesn't support OLE, it only accepts files dropped from Explorer.
