You _can_ statically link with some work -- but the savings, at least on linux, are really worth it.
I should really fix up the glue to avoid nspr. /me grumbles about not enough time.

Ok, I can develop with dynamic linking, so that's no major problem for now. And when I'm ready, the glue is maybe shipped with everything it needs from nspr. And if not, I can make the release with the extracted objects.
