Resolving host means looking up the address.  See, Mozilla.org really is 
207.200.81.215.  When you type mozilla.org, your computer asks your ISPs 
Domain Name Server (DNS) what mozilla.org translates to.  If that server 
doesn't know, it asks the next higher up DNS up until it reaches the end 
of the chain.  If it still can't find the address than you are told the 
site doesn't exist.  It's probably taking a long time because your ISPs 
DNS doesn't have the address cached and has to spend a lot of time 
trying to find it
