An unfortunate circumstance of an open mailing list (or newsgroup, in many
people's cases) is that others will discuss/flame about things without your
involvement.

Searching on bugzilla.mozilla.org with the word "filter" brought up a list
of Bug IDs/descriptions which included the following:

94968 nor -- PC [EMAIL PROTECTED] UNCO Mail filters are randomly disabled
        http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94968

71068 nor -- PC [EMAIL PROTECTED] NEW filters disappear
        http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71068
